Tube Honing & Finishing offers not only production honing but also services the repair industry for hydraulic cylinders. It also has a state of the art laser cutting machine, three CNC lathes, two VMC’s (Vertical Machining Centres) and four Automatic Bandsaws, offering cut-to-length service and fully machined tubular components.Tube Honing & Finishing was purchased by Summo Steel in 2002, which at the time was the largest commercial Honing company in Canada, with capabilities of Honing Tubing from 1.5” to 26” inside diameter up to 30’ in length. In 2016, Tube Honing was carved out of a sale of Summo Steel and continues its business at 1180 Burloak Drive in a 43,000 sq. ft. facility, located half a mile off the QEW in Burlington, Ontario. The facility is designed for efficient handling of tubular products up to 40’ in length with its multiple 5 ton overhead cranes.
